Russia tested its cutting-edge weapon in Ukraine yesterday‚ when a super-fast missile hit the city of Dnipro. Vladimir Putin confirmed the strike saying its a message to countries helping Ukraine (which has been fighting against Russia for about 3 yrs)
The new missile called “Oreshnik“ showed off some mind-blowing specs: it took just 15 mins to reach its target from Astrakhan region and flew at speed of more than 13000 km/h. The weapons tech details are interesting - it has a multi-part warhead system with 6 main parts that each carry 6 smaller units
This strike on military facility is our warning to the West
Vadym Skibitsky from Ukraineʼs intel service says this missile is part of bigger Kedr system that Russia started testing mid-2021; experts think Moscow has around 10 more units to test before mass-making them. At first Ukraine thought it was different type of missile but US and NATO agree with Putins description of it being mid-range ballistic type
Next week NATO will meet in Brussels to talk about this strike: its making Western countries worried about Russias new weapons. The meeting is set for Nov 26th and Ukraine representatives will join too
