ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR FARMERS MARKET

SIBEBE – All is set for the Eswatini Farmers Market, Food, Fashion and Lifestyle Festival tomorrow.

The second edition of this much-anticipated festival will be held at Sibebe Resort this year. Last year, it was held at Malkerns Country Club. The brains behind the Farmers Market, Mbekezeli Dlamini, famously known as Culolam, had an interview with this publication and shared that they are ready for tomorrow. He said: “We are ready, the team is ready, and the host venue, Sibebe, has added staff members to enhance their services during the event. They have also graded the road by making it two lanes to ease traffic. We have moved the rocks and crushed them.”

Dlamini went on to add that there will be two stages for the show, one for comedy and the other for Hip Hop. The second stage, which was sponsored by Destiny Music, is where all the other performances will take place.
He also shared that this year there will be over 15 stalls at the festival. “This year there will be over 15 food stalls in the food court, a flea market, and a cocktail bar. There will also be charity stalls. We also have stalls from Nigeria and Mozambique that will be selling clothes and accessories.” According to Dlamini, the children have not been left out either; they will be offered their own section of different games.

Perform

When quizzed on whether all the artists who are scheduled to perform have confirmed yet, he told this publication that they have all posted confirmatory videos on their social handles. The line-up of the show includes South African DJs Da Capo, Sun-El Musician, and Karyendasoul, who will share the decks for the first time in history, and this will see them deliver a single set as opposed to three sets.

This year’s festival also features a throng of celebrated SA musicians and locals such as Simmy, Siya Shezi, Nana Atta, Thakzin, comedian Trevor Gumbi, Atmos Blaq, Ayacity, Trendtwins, DJ Knoxman, Zulu D, A2Z Fusion, Lution, Drum Rhythm, Frigid Armadillo, Lungsta Da Deepsta, Sbu De Drum DJ, Seawater, Ceceboy, Keyto, Culolam, Engineer-maya, Mayheem, DJ Menzi, Proness, Rekorder, Russell, Sarnilo, Sgitha, and Smashsoul, to name a few.

Worth mentioning is that there will be shuttle services for those who don’t want to drive. “We have included the services of a shuttle; the public can contact Muzi Nkumane on 7944 3569 and send him a text on WhatsApp for fees from the different towns in Manzini, Zulwini, and surrounding areas,” shared Dlamini. It’s worth mentioning that tickets are still available for the show and will be sold at the gate for E200. The festival will kick off at noon and expected to end at 6am the next day. Winners of the Farmers Market Festival can contact us at 7812 5377 to receive their tickets.
