MANZINI – The MTN iPraise Gospel Music Festival is all set to give fans a fantastic show tomorrow at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Fans can expect gates to open at 11am and the show to start at 12pm. Gates close at 10pm with transport available for fans leaving the festival between 7pm and 10pm, within the Mbabane-Manzini corridor. The artists on the line-up are; Bishop Benjamin Dube, Canaan Nyathi, Takie Ndou, Omega, Mpumi Mtshweni, Mmatema and Jumbo. Local artists who will also perform at the gospel festival are Linda Dlamini, Nothando Dlamini, Shekinah and Ndoni Ndlangamandla.

The first South African Spirit of Praise (SOP) artist to arrive in Eswatini is Mpumi Mtshweni, who will be within the country’s borders today. Fans can watch visuals on social media where she encourages emaSwati to buy tickets and come to the festival tomorrow. She had this to say: “I am super excited about coming to the MTN iPraise Gospel Music Festival in Eswatini this weekend! Get your most colourful outfit ready. Gates open at 11am. Be there!”

The rest of the SOP artists will arrive in the country on time for tomorrow’s show and have also posted videos on social media about their excitement levels and performing for fans in Eswatini. Gospel singer Omega Khonuo shared a post on his social media and said he is ready to blow fans away: “Eswatini, buy your ticket and be there at Mavuso Trade Centre this Saturday! We won’t disappoint.”

Other artists to share the stage with Spirit of Praise at the show include Jumbo (SA), Linda Dlamini, Siphiwo Ndoni, Nothando Dlamini, Shekinah Motsa, Ntenteza Nemakhalanga, Fakazi Khanyile, Africa, and Lindo. The Evangelical Church Ntshanini Praise Team will also form part of the line-up after they won a public voting process to earn their slot at the festival. They also walk away with E15 000 worth of prizes from Destiny Music.
Jumbo (SA) has also given a sneak peak of his performance for fans in Manzini at Mavuso tomorrow: “I am going to give the fans my best this Saturday. This will be my best performance yet. Fans can expect to hear songs like ‘Wena Nkosi Uyazi’ and ‘Makabongwe uJesu’. They must come ready to dance, praise and worship God.”

This year, the festival will feature a kid’s corner with games, horseback riding, quad bikes, face painting, candy floss, a chocolate fountain and other fun activities. Adults will not be left out, with stalls and activities to keep them entertained. Gospel fans can expect retail stalls and food stalls, among many others. Gospel fans, both general and VIP, will have access to these activities. This year, MTN iPraise will take place at the outdoor arena.
