(CNN)The national focus of this Independence Day is barbecue, celebration, and being outdoors.
However, note: Most of the central part of the country has dangerous heat, which can be fatal if not taken seriously.
About 30 million people in more than a dozen states have received heat recommendations. It extends from the South Central to the Mississippi River Valley and to parts of the plain.
