These are three of the match ups I'm really excited about:
Brayden Maynard and Gary Ablett - the Collingwood defender takes the opposition's best small forward each week and has had a great season. Expect him to go to Ablett tonight, who doesn't need many touches to have an impact. On this wet night, it will be the battle of the small forwards.
Scott Pendlebury and Joel Selwood - the two AFL greats will go head to head in the middle of the ground; both captains are integral to their side's success. I'm sure both players will have impacts, but who will have the greater impact? I'll let you decide.
Jaidyn Stephenson and Jed Bews - this is a guess; really, Bews could play on Jamie Elliott, Jordan De Goey or Stephenson, but I think Bews is maybe the only Cats defender with the pace to go with Stephenson. The Collingwood young gun played higher up the ground last week but with De Goey back, it will be interesting to see whether Stephenson returns to the goal square. However, Jack Henry and Jake Kolodjashnij are the other options for Stephenson. Mark O'Connor will probably go to Elliott.
