Tree Felled by Isaias Winds Narrowly Avoids Long Island House

There were reports of hundreds of felled trees, damage to buildings, and widespread power outages as Tropical Storm Isaias passed over New York and the Tri-State area on August 4. One man was killed by a falling tree in Queens, local reports said. In Holbrook, meanwhile, a house had a narrow escape as a large tree was felled. Tino Pattigno III captured this footage in Holbrook. “Thankfully everyone is safe,” he wrote on Twitter. Pattigno’s video shows only a fence was damaged by the falling tree, and soon neighbors were working to clear the site. “Proud to be apart of this Long Island community,” he said.
