A primary focus of the talks will be the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Both the United States and the United Kingdom have been staunch supporters of Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, which began with a full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. The UK, in particular, has emerged as one of the largest donors of military aid to Ukraine.
