DreamWorks' "The Wild Robot" Debuts at TIFF, Exploring Tech's Dual Nature

DreamWorks Animation's latest offering, "The Wild Robot," made its global debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, 2024. This animated science fiction feature, based on Peter Brown's book series, delves into the complexities of technology's role in our world.

Lupita Nyong'o, who lends her voice to the protagonist Roz, shared insights about the film's themes on the red carpet. "We'll find a balance. I think any kind of new, emerging technology is at first very exciting. It can be a little bit frightening, but we will eventually figure it out," Sanders stated.

"Roz is a robot that never loses sight of her essence, which is to be of help to anybody. She's still able to adapt and become more than what she was programmed to be."
