France backs Ukraine's peace plan, promises jets as POW swap occurs

Frances top diplomat Jean-Noël Barrot visited Kyiv today‚ showing support for Ukraines new peace proposal. The plan‚ introduced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy a few days ago aims to end the conflict through talks.

Barrot stated‚ “A Russian win would mean chaos for the world order“ He promised to help Ukraine get more countries on board with the plan. France also said it would give Ukraine Mirage 2000 jets early next year and train Ukrainian staff to use them.

Barrot said in Kyiv

Last night‚ Russia and Ukraine swapped 190 prisoners (95 each) thanks to the UAEʼs help. The exchange included:

  • 34 Azov fighters who defended Mariupol
  • Maksym Butkevych‚ a well-known activist
