Trump throws jabs at rivals in charity dinner speech

At a Catholic charity dinner last night Donald Trump gave a speech thats been described as full of insults. The former president took aim at Joe Biden Kamala Harris Nancy Pelosi and Charles E. Schumer among others (all his political rivals)

The Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation dinner which raises money for Catholic charities saw Harris decline an in-person invite: instead she appeared in a pre-recorded video. Its unclear why she chose not to attend in person

Earlier that day Harris was at a campaign rally in La Crosse Wisconsin where she spoke out against Trumps recent comments. At a town hall the day before Trump had referred to Jan 6 2021 — when his supporters attacked the U.S Capitol — as “a day of love“
