Chinese and Russian air forces did their ninth joint patrol over Sea of Japan today - a part of their five-year-old military partnership (which started back in 2019)
South Koreaʼs defense systems spotted eleven foreign military planes entering its air-zone: the aircraft stayed there for about four-hours‚ but didnt cause any problems. SK air-force had to send up some fighter-jets just to keep an eye on things
This wasnt the first time these two countries showed their air-power together; last summer they flew nuclear-ready bombers near Alaska which made both US and Canadian forces scramble their jets in response. The joint-patrol program helps both countries test how well they can work together in the air
The whole thing is part of their year-to-year military cooperation plan - its meant to help both air forces get better at working as one unit. These kinds of exercises let them practice real-world scenarios and improve their team-work skills
