Dmitry Peskov‚ Kremlins spokesman made clear today that the new-built German military factory in Ukraine wont be safe from Russian strikes. The defense facility‚ which started its work just days ago represents the first of four planned Rheinmetall installations
The German defense manufacturer doesnt seem worried by these statements (they got similar warnings before) and keeps working on its Ukraine-based projects. Their first plant aims to make Lynx fighting-vehicles before Jan 1st
The companys CEO Armin Papperger shared plans for more facilities:
- Tank ammo production site
- Gunpowder manufacturing plant
- Air-defense systems facility
Russian officials keep saying these sites are valid targets - back in summer Andrei Nastasin from Foreign Ministry made similar statements; but the German company ensures its facilities have good protection.
