The Washington Post has made a big move in its visual storytelling department. Greg Manifold whos been with the company for almost two decades‚ is now the Head of Visuals (a brand-new position)
Manifolds job is to make sure The Posts pictures and designs are top-notch across all its products. Heʼll be working with the Design Graphics and Photo teams to keep things looking good. Its a big deal because pictures are super important in todays news world.
One of Manifolds main tasks will be to make sure everything looks good on different platforms - like the website‚ social media‚ and the old-school paper newspaper. Heʼll also be teaming up with other departments like Product Marketing and Engineering.
Manifold isnt new to The Post. He started there back in 05 as a Sports designer and for the past four-ish years‚ hes been the Creative Director. Before that he worked at The San Diego Union-Tribune (after studying at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo)
