Russian emergency officials started mass-producing mobile safety units this fall‚ which offer protection from nuclear radiation and other dangerous situations
The new shelter named “KUB-M“ (a container-like structure) has two-parts: a living space for people and technical equipment section. The unit can hold up to 54 persons and keep them safe for 48-hrs from different threats — including nuclear blast waves chemicals and building parts falling down
The shelter system has some cool features: its easy to move around on trucks connects to water-lines and works fine in super-cold areas (which is important for Russias northern regions). The technical guys say you can add more sections if you need space: which makes it super-flexible for different uses
