Russian military claims theyʼve captured Vyshneve a small-but-strategic village in eastern Ukraine (which sits near the vital logistics center of Pokrovsk)
The Ukrainian General Staff hasnt confirmed this loss but reported intense fighting in the area while the well-known war-tracking blog DeepState acknowledged Russians success in taking the settlement. Its forces are now moving towards nearby positions
Russian forces launched multiple attacks in the Pokrovsk area: hitting 19 different targets along the 1000-km front-line. The Ukrainian military — dealing with constant pressure from enemy forces — managed to stop advancement near Promin and other key-points
Near Hryhorivka (a settlement west of the captured territory) Russian infantry tried moving through forest-covered areas: following railway lines but Ukrainian defenders pushed them back. The situation remains fluid as Russian Commander attempts to gain more ground
The capture comes after Russians took control of Selydove town last week. Their forces have shown notable progress since september making it their fastest advancement in almost 2 years. This push is part of their long-running campaign to control Donbas region which started right after the beginning of full-scale invasion around 3 years ago
