The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has issued an urgent call for de-escalation as hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have significantly intensified along the Lebanese-Israeli border. Andrea Tenenti, spokesperson for UNIFIL, expressed deep concern over the "heavy intensification of the hostilities across the Blue Line" and throughout the peacekeeping force's area of operations. "We are concerned at the increased escalation across the Blue Line and urge all actors to immediately de-escalate."
