DPT declares  Ngawang Tashi for  Bomdeling -Jamkhar

Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) declared Ngawang Tashi as its candidate for the Bomdeling-Jamkhar constituency to contest for the upcoming fourth National Assembly elections.

The 40-year-old holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (General) from North Bengal University, India.

He served as a Gewog Administrative Officer (GAO) for almost a decade and he ventured into a business firm. 

He will be replacing the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) Dupthob.

The general secretary of the party, Sonam Tashi said that the MP Duphthob has resigned voluntarily since he served for three terms.

He has also contested for 2018 and 2023 National Council Elections.

Ngawang hails from Wogkhar village under Tongmijangsa gewog.

With this, the party has declared 24 candidates so far.
