The OPP in a tweet on Sunday afternoon said there was no threat to public security.
On Sunday night, police said the suspect was found "quickly" and charged with attempted murder and two weighted assaults.
To protect the victim's identity, the accused's name was not disclosed, OPP said.
The accused has been detained and will appear in Lindsay on Thursday, July 7.
Police say their investigation is underway.
