Elgin County Ontario Police are investigating a collision that injured two people and a horse in Malahide Township Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Lyons Line and Whittaker Road and involved an e-bike or e-bike and his pickup truck pulling a livestock trailer with horses. did, police said.
An e-bike collided with a truck at an intersection, causing the truck to leave the roadway, roll over and hit a water column, police said, according to a preliminary investigation.

A horse in a livestock trailer escaped and was later found along a road, police said.
An e-bike rider was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries in a collision. The pickup truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, and the horse suffered minor injuries, police said.

Conflict is under investigation. As a result, the Lyons line is expected to remain closed on Whittaker Road until at least 4pm.
