Saskatoon policesaid a 7-year-old boy pulled from theSouth Saskatchewan Riverdied on Saturday night.

Around 8:30 pm when police were called to the eastern bank of the South Saskatchewan River near Victoria Avenue . On July 2, after it was reported, a 7-year-old boy was missing.
"After a thorough ground survey of the riverbank and its surroundings, police officers found the boy's abandoned belongings. He was believed to have entered the water. "A Saskatoon police spokesman said.
The Saskatoon Fire Department has been asked for help.
