The police were called around 11:30 a.m. to the parking lot of a branch of the Société des alcools du Québec at 5007 des Laurentides Blvd. The SAQ store faces a supermarket.

“The man was outside his vehicle when the events occurred,” Beshara said.

A security perimeter was erected in the parking lot to allow investigators to do their job, she added. As of Sunday afternoon, Beshara said, “it is still too early to know if the man was known to (police).”
