The Oakland Athletics purchased right-hander Norge Ruiz's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas with an option for right-hander Domingo Tapia.
Lewis, 28, is set to make his league debut in the majors with a 5-1 record and a 3.83 ERA in his 30 relief appearances in Las Vegas. He has been with the Oakland organization since signing in his 2017 season.
Tapia, 31, with the A's he appeared in nine relievers and had a 7.80 ERA. In his 48 game appearances over his three seasons with the Boston Reds, the Seattle Mariners, the Kansas City Royals and the A's, he posted his 4 wins, 1 loss and 4.08 ERA in 53 innings.
