Montreal goes 3-for-3 in the shootout, as Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki and Kirby Dach all show off slick moves.
It wasn’t necessarily the Montreal Canadiens’ finest hour, but they managed to leave the United Center in Chicago with two points in their back pocket after Kirby Dach came back to haunt his former team by scoring the final shootout goal to give the Habs the W.
Dach then taunted the Chicago crowd by putting his hand to his ear after potting the goal.

Dach’s goal followed shootout markers by his linemates Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki. The captain pulled out the same spectacular move he did earlier in the season, a goal everyone was once again comparing to Pavel Datsyuk in his prime.
It was an exciting finish to an uneven game for the Canadiens against a struggling Blackhawks team. Samuel Montembeault made 30 saves and he’s beginning to look like he might be the team’s No. 1 goalie, especially given Jake Allen’s poor performance Tuesday versus the Buffalo Sabres.
Joel Edmundson made it 1-0 with a beauty of a goal as he raced to the net and tipped it in. It was his first of the season.
Then in the second, Chicago D-man Caleb Jones tied it up with a quick shot after a lazy Brendan Gallagher turnover.
Montreal took the lead once again later in the second with a terrific shot from Suzuki, for his 12th of the year.
Rookie Juraj Slafkovsky was caught with a hard high hit from Jason Dickinson in the third period and left the game, but he did eventually return. There was no call on the play.
With less than four minutes to play, Taylor Raddysh scored a nice one, knocking the puck down and then tapping it in. That set the scene for overtime.
The Habs had a great chance to win it in OT when Chicago was called for too many men on the ice, but they weren’t able to capitalize on the four-on-three man advantage.
Habs fans went away happy however when all three members of The Kid Line scored in the shootout.
