The PQ leader expects to make the stop Monday morning before finishing his day in Montreal for a local debate. Coalition Avenir Québec Leader François Legault is also expected to tour Îles-de-la-Madeleine on Monday.

Polls indicate the PQ and CAQ are in a tight race for the Îles-de-la-Madeleine riding, which is currently held by the PQ’s Joël Arseneau.

St-Pierre Plamondon, who suspended his campaign activities Friday after experiencing flu symptoms, returned to the campaign trail Sunday. His return came after a PCR test confirmed he didn’t have COVID-19.

On Saturday night, he told the media that he felt well but was waiting for the PCR test result before getting back on the road. Three rapid tests indicated he did not have COVID-19.

The PQ campaign bus will make stops in Joliette, Terrebonne and Montreal on Sunday.
