The Montreal police are investigating after a teen was shot near a school on Thursday with what appears to have been an air gun.
Police say the incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the Anjou borough, on St-Donat Ave. near École Chénier.

According to witnesses, a suspect fled on foot.
Police dispatched a canine unit to the area, but had yet to make an arrest as of mid-afternoon.
The school’s activities were not disrupted, the police department noted.
In a tweet, Anjou—Louis-Riel MNA Karine Boivin Roy said she was quickly informed about the situation and was following it closely.
“We’re asking citizens to let the police do their work,” Boivin Roy wrote.
