The names of the most popular babies in Alberta in 2021: Olivia and Noah occupy the top spots

Olivia and Noah are again the names of the most popular babies in Alberta. The

state announced the name of thetop baby in 2021on Monday morning.

At the top of the list of most popular girl names is Olivia. This name has been at the top of the list of girls every year since 2013. The name connects the longest record spent in first place. Ethan is the name that associates records with Olivia.

Noah has maintained the top position for boys for the third consecutive year. (See the top 10 list of boys and girls below).

In 2021, there were 49,938 babies born in Alberta — 25,714 boys and 24,219 girls. There were also five babies born with genders not listed in the initial registration.

"I want to congratulate everyone who welcomed the new addition to the family in 2021", Alberta Service Minister Nate Grubish said in a news release.

"After a few challenging years, the birth of a baby is something we all can celebrate."

Less popular names include Archangel, Chikadi, Tuba and Joko.

Also included in the list are probably the names of babies inspired by the vehicle: Audi, Benz, Royce, Chevrolet , Mercedes.

Baby names associated with locations include Monaco, Scotland, Denver, Brisbane, and Nairobi.

There were also names of babies inspired by rock music, such as Zeppelin, Jaguar, and Jessro.
