With a recent video on social media, the Alberta Department of Education has begun investigating whether to pass the 9th Grade Achievement Test (PAT).
On June 18, the state is aware of TikTok and Snapchat videos that may be providing answers to questions displayed on the PAT to school authorities. I warned you.
The state urged school authorities to strengthen the security-related requirements of PAT management and to perform due diligence in overseeing the rest of the PAT. The
test had to be done between June 13th and June 24th, and the subject was not devoted to a particular day. This means that students may be able to take the test and share information with people who have not yet taken it.

Edmonton 9th grade Hannah Peters and Elise Jack watched some videos about PAT on TikTok and Snapchat. They were surprised and said that uploading such a video felt unfair.

"Not very good as it is a test for teachers to see how learning is progressing. I don't. I think it's a fair evaluation, "Peters said.
"I did a lot of work (especially for science), and ... what I didn't know, and when the answer came out, I was kind of like an" oh " .. "Jack said.

Global News browsed two different social media posts about scientific testing, each providing a completely different answer to the question.
Friday was the last day of the exam. Jack said the teacher checked all of the student's calculators to see if the answer was hidden from the student.
The board of directors of the school in Edmonton and Calgary told Global News that they knew the video.
PAT is given annually to all Alberta students in grades 6 and 9. The test is intended to reflect the academic goals that all students are expected to achieve, regardless of school location.

During the pandemic, the use of PAT was stopped during the 2019-2020 school year. In the next grade, the exam was optional in linguistic arts and mathematics, but was discontinued in other subjects.
PAT management has resumed this year.
