Ontario's Animal Welfare Services were dispatched to a Haldimand County facility after local police discovered a number of deaths during a phone call Wednesday night.
OPP says they were called to the address just before 7pm. Encountered the carcasses of five calves at the site due to a reported landlord-tenant dispute.
"The surviving animals were in critical condition, including several calves and pigs, sheep and chickens," OPP Const. Mary Gagliardi said in an email.
"Several animals were euthanized by veterinarians called to the scene."
