Attacker sought after man, 52, stabbed in Whitby

Durham Regional Police are looking for a male attacker after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a Whitby stabbing Friday morning.

Police were called at 6:30 a.m. to Dunlop St. E. and Brock St. S. where they found a wounded 52-year-old man. He was transported to a Toronto hospital for treatment.

A parking attendant at a mall by the scene said the victim was stabbed several times in the chest.

The suspect fled eastbound on Dunlop and is described as a short male wearing dark clothes.
