VICTORIA — British Columbia Police Complaints The Commissioner ordered a review by a retired judge on the disciplinary action against officers who allegedly did not comply with the order during the investigation.
The Commissioner has announced that the Vancouver Police Department has investigated officers of the Eurocorps Special Executives in British Columbia. He reportedly spoke with witnesses and relatives of the dead in February 2021, contrary to his boss's instructions. The
release says Sgt. Brian Gateley was found to have committed a disgraceful act under the Police Act.
A one-day outage was recommended, but the Commissioner's office says it does not reflect the seriousness of the illegal activity.
It is stated that retired district court judge James Threllfall has been assigned to review, but the date is not yet scheduled.
