Washington (AP) —The White House said Wednesday that President Joe Biden will nominate Philip Washington, CEO of Denver International Airport, to lead the Federal Aviation Administration. The

FAA is now headed by Deputy Chief Billy Noren after Stephen Dickson, a former pilot and Delta executive, resigned on March 31st.

This institution is the Boeing 737 Maxjet Liner. He was later involved in two fatal crashes. This summer, the airline accused the FAA of delaying or canceling many flights, partly due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

Last year, Washington led the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority before Denver officials tapped him to operate the airport. According to the White House, he serves in the United States Army and holds a bachelor's degree in business from Columbia University and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University.
