Brampton realtor's ax, machete attack captured on video

CTV News identified the victim of the attack as Joti Singh Mann, citing family members.

Singh Mann is a well-known real estate agent and podcaster.

The attack occurred in the driveway of his home near Hurontario St. and Mayfield Rd. At about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 4, police told CTV News of him.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown said, "This is an outrageous and chilling crime."

The video shows Thin Man getting into a white jeep when a man suddenly chops the window with an ax and breaks it. Singh Mann tries to defend himself as his attacker turns towards him. They then knock him to the ground and appear to stomp him, though the footage does not capture all of the attacks.

, which lasted for some time until the woman ran out of the house, and the attackers fled.

The woman then runs to Singh Mann before entering the house.

According to a CP24 report, Brampton City Councilman Gurpreet Singh Dhillon visited Singh Mann's hospital and was diagnosed with amputation of his big toe, loss of mobility in one hand, and about 25 stitches. He said he suffered injuries such as sutures.
