Branden Grace fires 65 to claim LIV Portland

South Africa's Branden Grace hit a par 7 under 65 on Saturday to win the LIV Golf Invitational Portland in North Plains, Oregon.

Grace wins 36-hole leader Carlos Ortiz (3rd-Round 69) and Dustin Johnson (71). Patrick Reed shot 67 and finished in 3rd place.

Grace finished under 13 and was two shots ahead of Ortiz.

Grace opened with three birdies against one bogey in the front nine before firing in the back nine. He carded five birdies in the last nine to win.

He started a round two shot behind Ortiz.

Louis Oosthuizen shot 69 and finished fifth solo.

Johnson, Reed, Pat Perez and Talor Gooch's four ace teams won the team event.

The LIV event will be attended by 48 players, lasting only 3 rounds and no cuts. Portland is the league's second tournament and was first held in the United States. Charl Schwartzel of South Africa won the LIV opener near London in mid-June.
