Burnaby crash early Wednesday kills 33-year-old motorcyclist

Police are looking for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a motorcyclist died in an early-morning crash in Burnaby.

The crash between a hatchback and the bike resulted in the death of a 33-year-old motorcyclist.

The motorcycle was headed south on Douglas Road at about 6:10 a.m. when it collided with the car heading east on Laurel Street. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash investigators are looking into circumstances leading to the fatal collision, but impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor.

Anyone with dash-cam footage in the area of Laurel and Douglas between 5:50 and 6:30 a.m. is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
