Canada's economy grew 0.3% in April, but signs of a cold in May: Statistics Canada

According to Statistics Canada, real gross domestic productin April increased by 0.3%.

The agency states that growth was driven by the mining, quarrying, oil and gas mining sectors and the customer industry.

However, early May estimates also show that the economy for that month shrank by 0.2%.

The official reading for May is scheduled for July 29th.
