Calgary — Canada has added defenseman Ethan Delmastro to the list of the next IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships.
Delmastro recently played for the third season at the Ontario Hockey League's Mississauga Steelhead and was captain, scoring 48 points (7 goals, 41 assists) in 68 regular season games. ..
He helped a Canadian team under the age of 18 win a gold medal at the 2021 IIH FU18 World Championships.
Canadian Hockey also announced on Sunday that Brandon's Demon Hunt will not play due to an injury at a tournament in Edmonton on Tuesday.
Canada will face Sweden in a pre-tournament match on Monday. Canadians will hold a tournament against Latvia on Wednesday.
