Alajuela, Costa Rica — Team Canada, who lost the first two round-robin matches at the U-20 Women's World Cup, played with pride Wednesday against the best of Group C in undefeated Nigeria. I noticed that

Nigeria had her 22 shots in the match, six of which were on target. Canada took only four shots, two of which hit.
Canada started the tournament with her 2–0 loss to South Korea on August 11, and three days later to France she lost 3–1.
Nigeria finished Group C with her 3-0 record, followed by France and South Korea with her 1-1 draw. Canada finished last with her 0-3.
