Paramedics took a child of about six years old to hospital in stable condition Friday morning after he was hit by a pickup truck near Holland Avenue and Spencer Street.

His injuries are not life-threatening, said the Ottawa Paramedic Service, which reported crews got the call at about 8 a.m.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing, the Ottawa Police Service said.

“Another reminder to watch out for one another no matter how you travel,” police said on social media.

“Be safe.”
