With local electionsdue this fall,City of Kelownahas called for election officials.
's election will take place on his October 15th, but there will be pre-voting on October 5, 8, 12, 13, and 14.
says in preparation for that, the city is considering hiring about 300 workers to help with the vote.

'Vote at 8am' From 8 p.m., election staff will work a full day from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.," the city said.
"Staff are expected to remain at the polling place throughout their shifts, taking breaks during the day."

The City has said it will hire three positions: Elections Officer, Chief Elections Officer, and Deputy Chief Elections Officer.
Mandatory training sessions are provided for all positions. Payouts for training sessions are built into the daily payout rate for each position.

- This role includes managing the polling place, including staff, ensuring the integrity of voting machines and ballots, and preparing ballot summaries.
- Daily wages are $475.
