Nour Marakah was released with conditions as he awaited sentencing
A man convicted in an armed home invasion robbery now has a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest after cops say he removed his court-ordered GPS ankle bracelet.
In 2019, York Regional Police investigated and charged Nour Marakah, who was convicted and then released by the courts while awaiting sentencing.

Police say he was placed on house arrest and made to wear a GPS ankle bracelet.
Last Saturday, Marakah removed the ankle bracelet and left his residence in Whitby, cops allege.
The 34-year-old is wanted for fail to comply with a judicial release order.
“He is considered armed and dangerous,” police say, urging anyone who spots him to call police immediately. Marakah is also “encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.”
