Coroner's inquest to be held into suicide of Quebec woman with Lyme disease

The Quebec coroner’s office announced on Tuesday that an inquest will be held into the suicide on Sept. 11 of 22-year-old Amélie Champagne, whose decision to end her life after unsuccessfully seeking treatment for Lyme disease in Quebec became a focus of media and public attention.

The inquest will be headed by coroner Julie-Kim Godin. The date of the proceeding has yet to be determined.
