Quebec announced on Tuesday that 13 more deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 17,993.
The province said 1,370 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 — a decrease of 13 since the last time data was published. That’s the lowest level since the start of July.

Of those patients, the number in intensive care increase by five to 30.
The province reported 585 more COVID-19 cases had been confirmed through PCR testing at its clinics. However, because this method of testing is not accessible to most Quebecers, the case numbers are not representative of the situation in the province.
