The number of patients in intensive care with COVID-19 also went up.
Quebec announced on Tuesday that 19 more deaths had been attributed to COVID-19, bringing its death toll to 17,409.
The province also announced that 1,959 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19 — an increase of 22 since the last time such data was published.

The province reported that 1,132 more COVID-19 cases had been confirmed through PCR testing at its clinics. However, because this method of testing is not accessible to most Quebecers, the case numbers are not representative of the situation in the province.
