COVID-19 update: Quebec reports nine more deaths

The number of patients hospitalized with the virus remains stable at 1,566.

Quebec announced on Tuesday that nine more deaths had been attributed to COVID-19, bringing the total to 16,754.

The number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province dropped by one to 1,566.

Of those patients, 32 were in intensive care, a decrease of three.

The province reported that 943 more COVID-19 cases had been confirmed through PCR testing at its clinics. However, because this method of testing is not accessible to most Quebecers, the case numbers are not representative of the situation in the province.
