Police say someone stole a Toronto patrol car early Monday morning with a police dog inside.
A spokesperson for the Toronto Police Department said officers received a call for a break at 4:20 a.m. on Yonge Street and Lawrence He Avenue shops in the area. said to come in.
Someone jumped on the cruiser and took off as K-9 units responded and searched the area, according to police.
It is not clear whether the person alleged to have stolen the cruiser was a suspected trespasser.
