Cyclist struck by driver, seriously injured at Riverside Drive and Tremblay Road

A cyclist suffered serious injuries early Tuesday morning when he was struck by the driver of a sedan in the area of Riverside Drive and Tremblay Road, the Ottawa Police Service said.

Paramedics treated the man in his thirties and took him to the trauma centre in serious but stable condition after being called at 5:17 a.m. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, the Ottawa Paramedic Service said.

Police said the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
