Chalice Slavik faces a manslaughter charge; Jeffrey Stevens of Surrey was earlier charged with second-degree murder in the case
A second man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of Terry Miller last year in Coquitlam.
Miller, 66, was found with stab wounds in the area of a strip mall on Schoolhouse Street on Feb. 10, 2022.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died 12 days later. Homicide investigators took over the case with assistance from the Coquitlam RCMP and B.C. Coroners Service.
Twenty-four-year-old Chalice Slavik of Delta was arrested Friday and the B.C. Prosecution Service has charged him with manslaughter.
A week before Slavik’s arrest, 21-year-old Jeffrey Stevens was arrested in Surrey and charged with second-degree murder. Stevens is also facing a charge of aggravated assault against a second, surviving victim.
“IHIT is extremely grateful for our strong partnership with the other Lower Mainland integrated teams,” said Sgt. Timothy Pierotti of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
“Incidents such as this have a profound impact on a community. IHIT remains dedicated to working with our partners to keep the Lower Mainland safe.”
No further information on the investigation was released.
