A doctor cycling along the Pacific Coast Highway in California was mowed down by a driver who then got out of his vehicle and stabbed the cyclist to death while screaming ‘white privilege’ slurs.

Dr. Michael Mammone, 58, of Laguna Beach, was on his bike in Dana Point when he was struck by the driver of a white Lexus.

The driver allegedly sped through a red light at an intersection before running over Mammone on Wednesday afternoon, KABC reported.

He then jumped out of his vehicle and stabbed the victim multiple times in the back before bystanders tackled him to stop the attack.

Witnesses said the attacker was holding a BB gun when he approached the married father of two screaming racial slurs about “white privilege,” according to the outlet.

Shocking doorbell camera footage shows the moment the motorist crashed into the doctor, throwing him and his bike into the air.

The driver is then seen approaching Mammone and attacking him before being dragged away by witnesses.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department said the two men did not know each other and were investigating the motive for the killing.

“Upon arrival, deputies found Michael John Mammone, 58, a cyclist, lying in the intersection suffering from severe injuries,” the OCSD said in a news release.

Police recovered a knife from scene but did not confirm the BB gun witnesses claimed they saw.

A suspect — 39-year-old Vanroy Evan Smith — was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mammone, who had worked in the ER at Providence Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach since 2011, was rushed to hospital where he died.

It is unclear if he was headed to or from work when the attack took place, though friends say he regularly biked to the hospital from his nearby home.

“We are stunned by this devastating tragedy,” the hospital said in a statement. “The entire Mission Hospital family is grieving over the loss of an incredible physician and friend.”

Mammone is survived by his wife, Julie, a nurse at Mission Hospital and their two sons.
