The Chiefs only rank in the middle of the pack with the 15th-best defence against the run. Philly’s running prowess highlights another unique element of this game. Centre Jason Kelce may ultimately have more influence on this game than brother Travis. If the Chiefs can’t contain the Eagles’ running game, Philly will dominate time of possession as much as they control the line of scrimmage. Keeping Mahomes on the bench could prove especially critical in this specific contest. The Chiefs’ offensive success will require longer drives if Mahomes has to check down to Kelce and running backs Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon.
