First pandemic-free summer in years I'm glad I did. The family celebrated together and went on vacation. The children went camping and enjoyed summer sports. Life is pretty much what it should be.
That said, it wasn't without some challenges. Hospitals across Canada are temporarily closing their departments due to various challenges. We argue that these closures are unacceptable and that federal, state and hospital executives need to step up and lead.
Recent COVID-19 There was also a wave of obesity, which was of particular concern for the elderly and infirm. Thankfully, the virus has become much milder than it used to be, and in addition to vaccines, there are antiviral drugs available for those who need them.
Now that the virus has disappeared into the background of our lives , life goes on. As with so many endemic diseases, it has become an issue of paramount importance to health professionals. It does not justify disrupting everyone's daily life.
That's why it's such good news that authorities have confirmed that they're working on a perfectly normal fall. Ontario's Minister of Education Stephen Lecce has confirmed that masking will remain voluntary across the province's schools...as it should be.
This is just an example. We have others, too.
And some individuals and organizations are attempting to reinstate pandemic-era rules. The University of Toronto has controversially introduced mandatory booster shots for students living in dormitories. This is not recommended by public health officials and there is no reason why. What we need to commit to is personal choice. Increasingly, Canadians are exercising their own choices, and we see their choices leaning toward living life to the fullest again.
The truth is that overwhelmed Canada The story of the health care system is not new.It did not begin during COVID.
Rather than joking that the solution to our health problem is, for example, to close our children's schools, we encourage health care leaders to excel while exploring alternative delivery methods.
It's time to move forward.
